CELEBRATING A LEGACY!
It's amazing to see the incredible success of the Who's Who in the Martial Arts Biography book series over the past decade. With over 1,000 martial artists featured and several awards under its belt, it's clear that this series has made a significant impact. The first book, which honored Grandmaster Jan Wellendorf, was a true inspiration to many, including Grandmaster Jessie Bowen, who was mentored by Wellendorf and supported throughout his journey as both a martial artist and a business owner.
Although there were no initial plans for a second book, the Battle of Atlanta in 2016 brought together hundreds of martial artists who hadn't seen each other in 15-20 years. This event inspired the creation of a book that would celebrate the accomplishments of martial arts legends such as Chuck Norris, Joe Corley, Jeff Smith, Pat Johnson, Jhoon Ree, Stephen K. Hayes, Bill "Superfoot" Wallace, Cynthia Rothrock, and Ernie Reyes. Today, Elite Publications is an international publishing company that was founded with the purpose of preserving the legacy and history of martial arts. It's truly remarkable to see the impact that this series has had on the martial arts community.
